Stuart Rubner, DC


​Dr. Stuart Rubner was raised in Parkers Prairie, MN. After high school he attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and obtained his B.A. in Biology with an Emphasis in Health and Medical Sciences. While attending college and for some time afterwards, Stuart worked as a Nurse Aide and Unit Clerk at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Working with a variety of patients, Stuart realized that he loved working with people and wanted to further his education to help people. He then enrolled and earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Science University in Bloomington, MN. Stuart had an opportunity to learn from several clinics during his internships, including those that specialized in using techniques such as the Webster, Activator, Graston, Cupping, Taping and other modalities.

Stuart loves working and helping all patients, and looks forward to working with Pediatrics and Athletes. He is excited to be a part of the Activecare Team and back in the area he was raised. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, deer hunting, volleyball and is a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings. 

Kaija Johnson, DC

Kaija is originally from Glyndon, MN and currently resides in Nelson, MN.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with a BA in Biology and History.  After Concordia, she attended Northwestern Health Science University in Bloomington, MN and earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic.  She has continued her education with completing a 3 year diplomate in Nutrition.  She is currently in the process of working towards her licensure in Acupuncture. 

Her goal is to be able to provide her patients with options to achieve better health.  Not everyone is the same, and therefore, should not be treated the same.  Each patient deserves a customized treatment approach to fit their needs.  Her extensive training with nutrition allows the patient to get a more well-rounded approach to their care, as well as, potentially speed up their healing process.  She uses both manual and activator technique adjustments, along with soft tissue work with her chiropractic patients.

Sadie was born and raised in Brandon, MN. After graduation she moved to Alexandria and attended Alexandria Technical and Community College and graduated with an Associated Degree in Business Administration. Sadie enjoys spending her free time with her dog, Charlie, going on walks, and fishing with her boyfriend.
